MedINRIA, a free collection of softwares developed within the Asclepios research project.   2. MedINRIA is a modular visualization and analysis program specializing in neuro imaging and particularly diffusion tensor (DT) MRI analysis. It provides an easy to use interface to a number of visualization and analysis algorithms. It is the successor to the programs DTI.

MedINRIA is a free collection of softwares developed within the Asclepios research project. Efforts have been made to simplify the user interface, while keeping high-level algorithms. MedINRIA is available for Microsoft windows XP/Vista, Linux Fedora Core, MacOSX, and is fully multithreaded.

In MedINRIA, each application is called a Module, and can be loaded dynamically from a single main window.

This section describes some of the main algorithms available in MedINRIA.
  • Log Euclidean Metrics: A simple and fast metric used in tensor estimation.
  • HARDI: High angular resolution diffusion imaging
  • Diffeomorphic Demons: This non-linear registration algorithm is a fast and efficient way of retrieving dense displacement between two image volumes.
  • DT-REFinD: Diffusion Tensor Registration with Exact Finite Strain Differential
Depending on the medical application, different MedINRIA customized packages are available. They contain a customized version (interface and algorithms) of the modules which are needed for this application.MedINRIA
